Online Handmade Journal Course: Journal Into Your Art

With Megan Quinlan

Curious About Journaling but Not Sure Where to Start?

No one begins with pages full of effortless layers and beautiful compositions.

Every artist starts with a blank journal, a handful of materials, and a little uncertainty.

If you’re excited about journaling but aren’t quite sure how to get started, you’re in exactly the right place.

This course was created to help you take those first steps with confidence and enjoy the process from the very beginning.

What Actually is Journal Into Your Art?

Journal Into Your Art is a beginner-friendly online course that takes you from making your own handmade journals to confidently filling those pages with creativity

Megan Quinlan will begin by showing you how to create beautiful journal structures using approachable bookmaking techniques.

Then she’ll guide you through creating expressive art journal pages filled with writing, collage, and easy hand lettering techniques.

By the end, you'll have the skills, confidence, and inspiration to keep creating journals that feel completely your own.

What’s Included?

(Kind of need to ask about this because I’m not 100% sure. I know there are bonus lessons, but I would like to be able to list how many specific bonus lessons there are, how much content there is, what specific techniques are used/taught, and then I’ll go over how it’s a “lifetime” purchase)

The Reviews are IN!!!

I’ve followed Megan for ages, so when she brought this class out I jumped at it. And I was not disappointed, I loved it! Megan shares so many great techniques in both the making of the journal and in composing pages within it. Her style is very unique but can easily be adapted to your own. I have now made 3 of these and they are my go to journals for keeping quotes, statements and anything positive I need to remind myself. I particularly like using her paper doll stencils and stamps to add people to my pages.

Megan’s classes are among the best I have taken. Her delightful style is so encouraging and inspiring for students at any experience level. I put off taking her class for a while, but I am SO GLAD I took Journaling Your Art Out. Her ideas are so practical and useful for any mixed media work I will be doing in the future. She makes this style of journaling “fool proof”... I adore her style. Thank you for offering her classes… I want to take more!

I absolutely loved the Journal Into Your Art class! Creating my own book with a neutral background allowed me to experiment with various techniques. This was my first journal, and I explored different lettering styles, stencils, stamps, layouts, mediums, and color combinations. You have the flexibility to theme your book or make each page unique. I highly recommend this class, and Megan Quinlan is an excellent teacher!

I have thoroughly enjoyed Megan’s JIYA class over these many months! Not only does this class provide the ‘how to’ for making your journal, but also has such fun ways to use it when you are done! This was one of my first art/junk/writing journal classes and it still teaches me new ideas, whether I am stuck or just looking for a new way to express my thoughts. Megan’s style of teaching is very user friendly for a beginner or a more experienced writer/artist/creative. Thank you Megan!!
