Welcome to Wonky Bits.
In this playful mixed media class, we’ll create our own stash of bold, graphic collage fodder using something you already have: your own unique hand.
We’ll draw botanicals and floral motifs, play with words and favorite quotes, and embrace the wonderfully imperfect line quality that happens when we stop trying to make things look just right. Then we’ll fussy cut our creations into a collection of handmade bits and pieces that are ready to reach for whenever your artwork needs a little something extra.
Tuck them into your art journals. Layer them into collages. Add them to tags, handmade books, cards, and mixed media projects. Use one as a tiny detail or let it become the focal point of an entire page.
Once you start making Wonky Bits, you’ll start seeing places to use them everywhere.
What Are Wonky Bits?
Wonky Bits are small, handmade collage-fodder elements created from your own drawings, handwriting, marks, botanicals, flowers, words, and quotes. The imperfect, hand-drawn pieces are cut out and used as high-contrast focal points or finishing touches in mixed media art, collage, art journals, handmade books, tags, cards, zines, and other creative projects.
Unlike purchased collage images or digital elements, Wonky Bits are made by hand, so they have the unique marks, lines, imperfections, and personality of the artist who created them.

There's an endless amount of incredible art tutorial content in every Willa Workshops course. For some creatives, it's tempting to want to use these videos as a well of inspiration for their own creative enterprise, YouTube channel, brand, etc.
Willa Workshops Courses are not sold with permission for anyone to use it in this way--specifically, as a source of inspiration for any one's free how-to social media tutorial content, whether that be on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok or any other social media platform.
