What part of the world do you currently live in?

I live in Sunset Hills, Missouri. A suburb of St. Louis, Missouri.

When did your art or crafting journey begin?

I began stitching cross stitch samplers - from kits - and stitching embroidery on denim work shirts in my late teens. My paper journey began when I was in Chicago and discovered Paper Source.

How long have you been in Fodder School and what keeps you coming back each year?

Fodder School 2 was my starting point. I loved it because all of the Fodder Artists bring their unique take on the challenges. An example - Liz at Book Arts did a slot technique on cards, I think it was in Fodder School 2 . A simple technique that I use a lot when making cards and tags. 

How has Fodder School influenced your creative journey or daily art practice?

Fodder School has made me more aware of my desire to challenge myself. When working on a challenge I ask myself - what if I do this? or this? or this? Taking a little time to make art most days has become a big part of my personal and work life.

What’s one project, technique, or lesson from FS that completely lit you up?

How would you describe the Fodder School community in three words?

Inspire. Create. Encourage. 

One piece of encouragement for a brand-new student?
Fodder School is one of the best "things" you can do for yourself. The art challenges are unique, the videos are great learning tools, the teachers encourage you to do your thing with their challenge. Trust me - You will be glad you became a Fodder Girl - I am!
